Geographic Information Systems (GIS) are being used extensively to manage information that is associated with features that have geographic locations. GIS computer programs not only produce maps, they also link and manage the information associated with features on the maps. Olds College is offering a one day course introducing you to this technology. This introductory course covers:

- The types of data used in a GIS
- Some practical uses for GIS in your industry
- A hands-on examination of some GIS applications in your industry
