On successful completion you will be able to; state why bleeding causes the death of an animal, identify the major blood vessels and their function, explain the differences between species that affect the rate of death, explain why the time between stunning and bleeding is important, give examples of factors that affect stun to bleed time, and state legal considerations concerning animal welfare during bleeding.
